A Casual Weekend at Home

We didn't do much this weekend, but it was nice to have a casual weekend of several things to do. Friday night, we met up with Krista's parents at Kingwood High School to watch Chuter's One-Act Play.

For those who don't know, Frank Chuter (Chuter for short) was Krista's high school theatre director, and he is now at Kingwood High School. Over the years, the Brods and Chuters have kept in touch, so we try to make as many of Kingwood's plays/musicals as possible.

Nonetheless, we missed the play, but we were there for the awards and to see Kingwood advance to the District competition! Congrats Kingwood High School Theatre! We can hopefully watch them this coming Friday.

Saturday, Krista worked in the morning, and we were completely lazy the rest of the day. It was nice.

Today, after church, we joined Krista's parents and Ronnie and Teresa at Doug and Ronnie's Uncle's Surprise birthday party. It was nice to be with family for the afternoon. Following the party, Henry went to Barnes and Noble to browse through some books and Krista went shopping! New clothes are always a 'need.' (Yea right!). Oh, and Black Pearl is 6 months old today! Yey Pearl! Hard to believe we've already put over 14,000 miles on the car in 6 months. Stay tuned for some cool pics!
